Horse boarding


Our horse facilities include 12x12 stalls with rubber mats and paddocks, a 100x200-foot sand-floored arena, a 60-foot round pen, and wash rack. Horses enjoy quality hay twice daily, with stalls cleaned regularly.

  • Description: A combined vaccine protecting against equine influenza, a highly contagious viral respiratory disease, and rhinopneumonitis, caused by equine herpesvirus. Both can cause fever, nasal discharge, and breathing difficulties.
  • Frequency: Horses in boarding stables or frequent travelers should be vaccinated every 3–6 months.

  • Description: This vaccine protects against West Nile virus (causing neurological issues like muscle tremors and paralysis), tetanus (a bacterial infection causing muscle stiffness), and sleeping sickness (caused by equine encephalomyelitis viruses, leading to fever, lethargy, and neurological symptoms).
  • Frequency: Administered annually, typically in the spring.

  • Description: A highly contagious bacterial infection causing swollen lymph nodes, fever, and nasal discharge. It can spread quickly among horses in close contact.
  • Frequency: Vaccinate once yearly, often in the winter or spring.

  • Description: A blood test that screens for Equine Infectious Anemia, a viral disease transmitted by biting insects, leading to anemia, fever, and weight loss. Horses that test positive must be quarantined or euthanized.
  • Frequency: Required annually for horses entering California (out of state travel), with testing performed at a USDA-approved lab.
